A local plumbing and heating company tried to charge me $300+ to replace this little thing. It couldn't have been easier though to do it myself. It literally took all of 5 minutes start to finish. The capacitor has of course operated flawlessly. I don't want to name the company though.
Got my blower motor working again in my air handler. Luck for me I caught it before the blower motor burned out. This has been working perfectly for a month and a few days now! Awesome!

Remark:
Power off and unplug your air conditioner power cable before you replace capacitor.
Use one screw driver to short capacitor feet to release power and high voltage of capacitor, let conductive parts to short, hand must grasp the insulated part to avoid power shock!
Advise to wait at lease 1 minutes then start to replace.
All Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors' bodies are made by heavy casting machine so that slight scratches on surface are unavoidable.
Slight scratchs on body surface of aluminum electrolytice capacitor will not affect function and performance.
Some brand capacitors' body seems smoothly and no scratches only because they use photo blunt and blur technology, Actual Same!!!
