Bought this on amazon since most big box places don't stock capacitors. Wanted to have this ready to go as when I bought my house the blower motor capacitor tested lowish, so I didn't want to have it die and then wait for a delivery since we are getting into the triple digit temps in AZ. Bad control boards and capacitors going out are 2 of the biggest wastes of money to pay an HVAC company for. This will only take about 5-10 minutes to swap out when the time comes and will save close to $150 from a service call.
Didn't realize that this capacitor was getting long in the tooth. While our heat pump still appeared to be working fine, we replaced both capacitors and realized that it wasn't at it's peak. It may be my imagination, but the fan appears to be blowing harder and more cool air volume now reaches the rooms at the end of the long runs.

Took all of 10 minutes to install. Just make sure to discharge the old capacitor (mine already was - or so it seemed - but yours may not), and switch out the wires. Ours was only held in by one screw. Overall, an easy preventative maintenance task.
The capacitor blew on my air handler, and this one was the same model number and rating. Replaced in five minutes, and I'm back in business! Cheap fix!
replaced this in a exhaust fan--it would not start up anymore, so figured this was bad.

i dont know all the ins and outs of electrical safety, but do know these can store power-- so watch out
Looked up the part number of the capacitor on the motor. Ordered and received in 2 days. Put it in (5 minutes) blowing like crazy now (FYI - this capacitor is smaller than the original equipment on my blower fan, but it was almost 20 years old...it was the same exact specs though).

Our furnace fan failed, and it was due to an aging and failing capacitor. This was the perfect fit. It was easy to install and got us back up and running. $15 for something that would have cost us several hundred if we'd hired a professional.
I had an air conditioning blower motor stop working. It is either this or the motor as long as there is voltage to the motor. For this price I figured why not. I replaced it and so far so good.
I bought this to go along with a new blower motor I bought for our 16 year old Carrier furnace. It was the same size as the capacitor it replaced, and works as expected. I am using it with a 3/4 HP RUUD/RHEEM replacement motor, which I bought locally, but is also available on Amazon. For this motor to work on my Carrier furnace, I just had to reverse two of the speed wires, but otherwise it was a drop-in replacement.
