Needed a drop in replacement capacitor for a nearly 20 year old Trane residential A/C outdoor unit without adjusting or changing the capacitor holder. Also needed it within a few days not weeks since the A/C was not functioning on a weekend during back to back Summer 2020 heat waves.

Size, form factor, price, and correct technical specs - was what I was looking for. I ordered several different offerings to see which capacitor would arrive sooner and be close enough in size to the original(which is the original as built). This arrived the earliest and was the best fit drop in quick replacement.

Since this is not made by the same manufacturer as the original(GE in Mexico) I can't speak for longevity(based on name probably Asian origin).
This worked perfect as a replacement for capacitor model HC98KA046, on a PA15NC042 A/C unit. Once I discharged the the old capacitor with a rubber handled screwdriver, it was a simple 3 to 5 minute swap out. Also $15 sure beats $200 to $300 for calling out the A/C repair tech. No idea how durable it will be but if I get the same 3 to 4 years as the OEM capacitor, I'll be very happy. We have regular stretches of 100+ F during the summer so the A/C ends up running between 15 and 17 hours per day.
$13 solved a HVAC problem. Watched a few videos on YouTube and was easy to do. Saved $100’s on BS that would have come with a service call…
Repaired 15 year old Gold Star 8,000 btu window air conditioner for $20. Wasn’t sure it was the capacitor, but took a chance. Now runs great.
No useful for what I bought it, it is suppose to to 45/5 mf but in realty it has 45/0.6, it was for my exterior AC and I had to expend more money buying another one in a local store.
