I replaced the blown 10uF cap in my Ridgid model SEP-500 pump with two of these 5uF caps in parallel. Its been working great for about 6 months so far and will likely continue to as these caps have a much higher voltage rating and together over double the surface area for improved cooling compared to the original capacitor.
Fan was making a loud electric motor noise. After research I diagnosed as a bad capacitor causing the motor to be out of phase when running due to a weak capacitor. Using a a Fluke16 meter to read microfarads the old capacitor (which was rated for 4.5uf) was only reading 1.5uf. Ordered this 3 pack of 4.5uf capacitors (they have the mounting lug on them too) it was a direct fit and only took a few minutes to swap out plus I have 2 spare ones for any future repairs. Fan works like new with no noise.
