 I used this to replace the motor on my 30 year old Payne A/C unit which died in the middle of a 100 degree heat wave.

This was not the exact replacement by model number. I think ours was a 232a. But after some research I found this would fit and was shipping and receiving in 2 days which is what I needed (faster than A/C people could do it).

I received this unit - replaced the capacitor (do it at the same time it’s cheap and if your motor went it’s probably taking your capacitor down with it) and the motor at the same time. I got it back up and running but it had a decent amount of wobble.

Turns out I must have bent the fan blade when removing. I replaced the blade as well and now it runs perfectly.

By my calculation including the service fee to validate my hypothesis, by purchasing this product and the accompanying accessories I saved myself well over $1000 and kept the final tab under or just at $200.
this was a good replacement for my old motor that started whining. i did want to post a picture to show what i received from seller North America HVAC. it is manufactured by Genteq, which was not specified in the listing. I communicated my concern to the seller and it was handled to my satisfaction.
My condenser fan motor went out on our Carrier HVAC unit. Didn't want to call for service because I knew it would cost probably close to $900 - $1,500 to have this repaired. So found this exact same replacement model #, ordered it and repaired myself. First time and it was easy, took me about 45 minutes. Going to order another one to replace on my other unit. Recommend!
After reading many reviews and looking at different sellers, I settled on this motor and I’m glad I did. Reviews of other motors complained of the wires being too short or the wires being the incorrect gauge (too skinny). The wires on this motor are the proper length and gauge. Using YouTube and reverse engineering this motor was a very straightforward install. It even arrived one day ahead of schedule, which was great because we had been without a/c for a week and were melting. This motor has been running strong for a week now and sometimes most of the day. It runs like a champ! This motor is the real deal and at a fraction of the cost of calling an hvac place. I’m very happy with my purchase.
10pm AC starts SCREAMING, goes quiet, Screams again.

take lots of pictures as you do the job, make sure everything is back in place
It costs $120 for an AC specialists to set foot in my house, this entire DIY job cost me $130

As the title says, this motor was an exact replacement to the original motor. The electrical leads were plenty long enough to reach the control box. One of the screw posts was bent during shipping. But, it was able to be straightened.
I am so happy this motor works like wonders ...it arrived earlier than expected and we installed within an hour ...even the HVAC technicians doesnt have any in stock. I was afraid i am getting a lemon and will melt for days during heat wave. Thank you.
I am not an HVAC guy, but the motor would get hot and seize up. Changed for the new one in 20 minutes . Everything is working fine now.
I had tried to buy one from another source
not on Amazon, shipment got delayed twice in 5 days. My air was out 7 days total .
I like be in South West Florida.
Amazon and their supplier came through like champs.
